Cedarville, OH --August 8, 2005 - Scores of kids, moms, and dads were both surprised and thrilled on Monday this week to tour the famous Oscar Mayer "Wienermobile™" at the Hearthstone Inn & Suites country hotel in Cedarville. Stuart Zaharek, executive manager at Hearthstone, expressed delight at the opportunity to showcase this astounding vehicle in conjunction with the Oscar Mayer company.

Shaun considers the technology of the Wienermobile to be among the best found among vehicles today. Truly it contains the finest premium ingredients and may be thought of as a top-of-the-line "Lambourg-weenie"!

The rolling 'doggie is piloted by "Sauerkraut Shaun" Hanna (see photo, left), a 2005 graduate of Cedarville University (OH), and "ColdCut Katie", a 2005 graduate of Pittsburg State University (KS). They are dubbed "HotDoggers" by Oscar Mayer and were selected from among several hundred applicants. According to the company, only a handful of these applicants "cut the mustard" each year for this highly-coveted position. "We are thrilled at this remarkable achievement of Shaun's and it makes both our village and undoubtedly Cedarville University quite proud", said Zaharek.

According to Sauerkraut Shaun, his arrival in Cedarville this week was a homecoming of sorts as he rekindled friendships at his alma mater. Hanna truly relishes this link to the past and was very excited to "ketchup" on all the happenings on campus! The first Oscar Mayer Wienermobile™ was built in 1936 and the cruised the streets of Chicago. The current 2004 model journeys approximately 1000 miles per week and an indeterminate number of "smiles per week" around the United States. The custom-crafted vehicle has also traveled in Canada, Japan, Puerto Rico and Spain. In the year 2000, it added Mexico and Germany to the list.

The Wienermobile™ vehicle has appeared on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," "The Late Show with David Letterman" and "Love Connection." It's also been on CNN Headline News.
